Bratwurst, Beer & Beethoven
The Sault Symphony Association is pleased to announce the return of its annual major fundraiser, Musicfest: Bratwurst, Beer & Beethoven! Come on out to the Roberta Bondar Pavilion in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, on Sunday, June 10, for an entire day of food, fun, and, of course, music for the whole family.
Enjoy hot dogs and bratwursts, cold beverages, games, face-painting, balloon art, crafts, and a huge Silent Auction.
Listen to outstanding performances from The Northland Barbershop Chorus, The Sweet Adelines, The Bob Jenkins Band, The O’Schraves (featuring Julie Schryer & Pat O’Gorman), The Steeltown Silver Band, and Timothy & Murphy & Friends.
The full entertainment schedule is available here.
Be sure to stick around until sunset, when The Sault Symphony Orchestra takes the stage for an hour-long concert of music, including “The 1812 Overture,” “The Wilhelm Tell Overture,” the themes from Spiderman and The Lord of the Rings, and more!

Victoria received a cash prize of $500 cash, plus the opportunity to perform with the Sault Symphony Orchestra as a soloist at a future concert (to be determined).
Taking home our second place prize of $300 was vocalist, Maggie Andersen (17), who beautifully performed Handel's "Bel Piacere," Guettel's "The Light in the Piazza," and Gilbert & Sullivan's, "Poor Wand'ring One".
Honorable Mentions went to Claryssa Webb (19 - violin), Benjamin Gulder (20 - violin), and Hannah Nicoletta, who is just 10 years old, and entered the competition on both violin and piano.
