It's tough to beat the thrilling events of our 40th anniversary season, but we think you'll be excited about what we've got in store for our 2013-2014 season, too:
Orchestral Kaleidoscope - Sept. 28, 2013 | Soo Theatre, MichiganOne of our most popular concerts, Orchestral Kaleidoscope presents a variety of musical pieces, including Broadway show tunes, familiar pops songs, and well-known classical works by master composers like Beethoven and Mozart. And you might even see a few small ensembles of Orchestra musicians performing some of their favourite pieces. At Kaleidoscope, anything goes, and you won't want to miss it!
Music With The Maestro - Nov. 9, 2013 | Kiwanis TheatreWe are delighted to announce that Dr. Enrique Batiz, from the State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, will be guest-conducting the Sault Symphony Orchestra for this event. Among the musical pieces to be performed this evening is Beethoven's "Triple Concerto," featuring Dr. William Aide on piano, David Hetherington (principal with the Toronto Symphony) on cello, and our very own concertmaster, Anya Mallinger, on violin.

For this holiday favourite, the Sault Symphony Orchestra will be joined by various vocal soloists, plus The Chamber Singers of Algoma, consisting of approximately 30 local male and female members. This performance will have you singing along to the famous "Hallelujah" chorus (remember the flash mob Chorus Niagara did in Welland's Seaway Mall a couple of years ago?) and will certainly help to get you into the holiday spirit.

The Sault Symphony Orchestra will be joined for this concert by special guests, The O'Schraves, a group of talented local musicians, comprised of Pat O'Gorman (bagpipes, Irish flute, tin whistle), Julie Schryer (piano), and their three talent children, each of whom also plays a variety of traditional instruments. The audience will surely be tapping their toes and clapping along to some favourite Celtic tunes!
The Music of John Williams - April 26, 2014 | Kiwanis TheatreJoin us for this celebration of John Williams, the most beloved movie theme composer of all time. He has written music for many of your favourite Hollywood blockbusters, including Jaws, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Superman, The Lord of the Rings, and much, much more! A large screen will be set-up on stage so that we can display clips from the films as the Sault Symphony Orchestra performs the movie music live! This event is a must for music lovers and film buffs alike.
Musicfest XXI: Bratwurst, Beer & Beethoven - June 8, 2014Stay tuned for the line-up of entertainment for this, the 21st celebration of the Sault's biggest waterfront music festival! As always, the day will feature sausages and hot dogs from M&M Meat Shops, ice cold beer, a large silent auction, musical entertainment throughout the day, crafts and games for kids, and much, much more!
